I’m a young person in care and not happy about the decisions being made about my life.
Everyone should have the right to have choices, to express their views and wishes, be listened to, and be in control of their life. If you’re not happy about the decisions being made about you, one of our advocates might be able to help your voice be heard.
If…
You’re aged 18 or younger and being ‘looked after’ by the social care services of Essex County Council, we can support you as an advocacy service. Among other things, we can help you to raise issues or complaints. We can help you understand any information you’ve been given, and explain your rights and the options open to you.

If…
You’re aged 18 or younger and receiving Community Mental Health Services from Essex County Council, one of our advocates might be able to help you have more of an input into the decisions being made about you. This includes asking questions, challenging decisions, attending meetings, and helping you to communicate the things that are important to you.
